Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together... but encouraging one another
— Hebrews 10:24-25

You don’t parent alone

August 7th, 2025

The enemy wants you to believe you're parenting in isolation, that everyone else has it figured out while you're barely keeping your head above water. But God's design for families includes community—people who will convict you when you're off track, equip you with wisdom and practical help, and surround you with encouragement when the load feels too heavy. You weren't meant to raise the next generation alone in your living room; you were meant to do it surrounded by other believers who are fighting the same battles and celebrating the same victories.

When you feel like you're failing as a parent, that's often God's smoke alarm telling you it's time to get connected, be vulnerable, and let others speak hope into your life. Your kids need you, but you need your church family—and that's not weakness, that's wisdom.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
— 2 Corinthians 5:17

A New you for a new day

July 31st, 2025

Every parent has had that moment—you lose your temper, react in frustration, or handle a situation in a way that makes you think, "I don't want to be this kind of parent." The weight of our own brokenness can feel overwhelming when we're trying to raise healthy kids.

But here's the Gospel truth that changes everything: when you surrender your life to Jesus, you don't just get forgiveness for your failures—you get a completely new identity. The old you, the one driven by selfishness and pride, has passed away. The new you has different desires, different priorities, and access to supernatural patience and love. This doesn't mean you'll never struggle again, but it means you're no longer trapped by your old patterns.

When you mess up as a parent, you don't have to stay stuck in shame. You can apologize, lean into God's grace, and step forward as the new creation He's made you to be. Your kids don't need perfect parents; they need parents who are being transformed by Jesus.

Cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life.
— Genesis 3:17

WHEN EVERYTHING FEELS UPHILL

JULY 24TH, 2025

That feeling you have as a parent—like everything is uphill, like you're constantly fighting an impossible battle—that's real, and you're not imagining it. The Bible tells us we live in a fallen world where parenting, work, and life itself became difficult after humanity chose to rebel against God.

But here's the hope: that same Bible also tells us God didn't leave us to struggle alone. When you feel overwhelmed by the endless demands of raising kids in 2025, remember that your frustration doesn't isolate you—it connects you to every parent who's ever felt the weight of this calling. God sees your struggle, understands your exhaustion, and offers you supernatural strength for the uphill climb. You're not failing; you're faithfully fighting in a broken world, and that matters more than you know.
