BUILD 2026
RESPONDING TO GOSPEL GROWTH
“34 Sunday Morning Salvations
65 Baptisms
270 First-Time Guests
56 Adults in Deep Mentoring
ReGeneration Recovery Ministry Launched
REZ Pastoral Residency Ready to Launch”
Earlier this year, a young woman walked into REZ for the first time—broken, skeptical, and desperate for hope. Within months, she met Jesus, got baptized, joined a small group, and is now being mentored.
“That’s not luck—that’s the result of intentional discipleship systems. And it’s happening repeatedly.”
Thirty-four people have met Jesus this year. Sixty-five have been baptized. Two hundred seventy first-time guests have walked through our doors. Fifty-six adults are in deep, 2-year mentoring relationships. We've launched ReGeneration, a recovery ministry, and we're launching a 12-month Pastoral Residency to train church planters. God is moving at REZ.
The Fruit of Strategic Outreach
REZMANIA and Camp Where-to-Go brought hundreds of kids and families onto our campus—many for the first time. These camps created environments where life-changing Gospel conversations happened naturally. Other outreach events throughout the year opened doors into neighborhoods and built trust with families who needed to see the love of Christ in action.
A 10-year-old at REZMANIA asked his counselor, 'Can I really be forgiven for everything?' That conversation led to salvation. His parents visited the next Sunday. Now the whole family is in a small group.
“These aren’t just programs—they’re producing real evangelistic fruit.
Kids are meeting Jesus.
Families are connecting.
The harvest is happening.”
The Honest Reality
Let's be direct: we're in a season of financial rebuilding. The makeup of our congregation has shifted as we've effectively reached this neighborhood—and that's exactly what we prayed for. But our leadership lost oversight of expenses during a critical window, and that cost us our financial buffer. We own that. It happened on our watch, and we take full responsibility.
And here's the beautiful tension: many of the 34 people who met Jesus this year are brand-new believers—they're just beginning to learn what it means to follow Christ, let alone what biblical generosity looks like. Discipleship takes time. We're investing heavily in teaching and modeling stewardship, but new Christians are still discovering how to tithe, give, and trust God with their finances. That's exactly where they should be—we celebrate that—but it means we're pouring resources into people who aren't yet able to give at the levels that sustain ministry.
What We've Done
We've brought in outside accountability through Novum Partners, established a new Financial Stewardship Team, implemented strict financial controls, and made difficult staffing decisions to operate within our means. This work is still in progress—we're improving at being faithful stewards with what God has entrusted to us—but the harvest is requiring more laborers.
But God
We believe God has placed this church here, placed us here, and given us a mission that goes far beyond our current capacity. Build 2026 is about sustaining the systems that are already producing fruit—mentoring new believers, training future pastors, continuing outreach events like REZMANIA that bring the neighborhood to our campus, reaching the 145,000 people within 10 minutes, and multiplying what God is doing.
What We Are Asking You to Prayerfully Consider
We're asking every person at REZ to pray about how God is calling you to respond to what He's doing here.
PRAY FIRST | Ask God to show you how He wants you to invest in Gospel growth at REZ. Then respond in obedience.
IF YOU GIVE CONSISTENTLY | Consider a sacrificial, above-and-beyond year-end gift before December 31st. What amount would stretch your faith and demonstrate your trust in His provision?
IF YOU DON’T GIVE REGULARLY | This is your invitation to begin faithful, consistent tithing as an act of worship and partnership in this mission. Giving isn't about funding programs—it's about participating in what God is building.
WHAT YOUR GENEROSITY BUILDS
“Your giving isn’t a transaction—it’s an investment in the pathway from first-time guest to disciple-maker, from addiction to freedom, from new believer to sent-out church planter.”
Investing Big in the Next Generation
Kids and youth ministry that shapes lives and brings families to Jesus. When kids are excited about church, parents show up. Many salvations trace back to seeds planted at REZMANIA and youth events.

Your Response Matters
Gospel growth is God's blessing and our responsibility. He's brought 34 salvations, 65 baptisms, and 270 new guests. He's raised up 56 people hungry for deep discipleship. He's opened the door for a Pastoral Residency that will multiply our impact beyond Bakersfield.
Now He's asking: How will you respond?
Pray about a special year-end gift beyond your regular giving. Ask God how He wants you to participate in what He's building at REZ. Then give sacrificially before December 31.
“Let’s build the infrastructure for sustained Kingdom impact together.”
You have until December 31 to be part of Build 2026. How will you respond?
